'Voices Interwoven' is a multidisciplinary documentary project speaking with 5 local Lancashire women and myself; all with connections to India to uncover personal and individual experiences of being connected to place.
Treasured Accrington: Riding On A Wave Of Hope.
My photographic series ‘Treasured Accrington’ reflects a changing time in a North-West town through landscapes, archives and a short documentary. Although I am affected by the decisions made for Accrington, I have created this work for the local people, motivated by seeing them -us- silenced despite deep care for the town and great suggestions. The inquiry led me into people’s homes I didn’t know and two volunteer groups -ATC Street Angels and the Food Bank-, giving me an insight into the issues of Accrington (homelessness) but also the positives- hope, care and compassion.
When Giants Fight- What Keeps You Smiling?
In March 2023 I contacted the Kolesnik family who are living in my town, Accrington in the North of England. For 4 weeks we collaborated to create their story of not just their journey fleeing their war torn country but a story of them and what keeps them motivated and smiling during this time.

The Black Shape Of Old Pendle.
This is an exploration of a survived land, survived history and of my local area. A series of merged landscapes surrounding Pendle hill to showcase natures survival despite the events that have occurred here in the past. I feel an atmosphere of beauty and mystery through the rolling hills and untold stories and secrets in between.
Collecting During Lockdown.
A short series of still life's taken during Lockdown portraying the large amount of added waste I had collected since Lockdown had begun near my home in the countryside of Lancashire. This was due to more walks locals would take because they weren't going to work and although the skies were bluer from the absence of planes, the land was worse for it.
The Restoration of Evanescence.
The house is a location famous for the photograph my mum took of my dad, lying across the windowsill. My memory of him existed here but only through her lens.
Qualia Revisited: Scotland.
In the year of 2013 at the age of 11 I travelled with my mum, 1 year old brother and step dad around Scotland for 4 weeks in our caravan.

An experimental series capturing a peacefulness in surrounding landscape to represent my love for quiet open spaces and how pieces of us remain in memory of physicality in the landscape wherever we go.
