RAW: Northern Creatives From Rock to Brick is a collaborative project reflecting on the creative ambitions and hidden realities of five creatives from Northern working-class towns.
Through photography, film, sound and printmaking, the work explores how we are all shaped by memory, experience and place - individually and creatively. Local heritage operates as a metaphor -something extracted, shaped and transformed.
The series celebrates raw individuality and the determination to keep creating, despite all odds.
I am a filmmaker, director, and actor based in Lancashire. Darwen Moors was my first shoot location with action figures and prop guns. Through my company ‘Redearth Road Productions’ I am interested in exploring deep social topics through the fictional, historical and mythical.

I am a Northern multidisciplinary artist working with photography, sound, and archives to explore themes of place, memory and experience. Receiving my first camera in India helped me to do what I needed from a young age - capture our travels.
